What do we offer?
Backpackers Villa Sonnenhof is a Backpackers hostel (like a private youth hostel). We offer accommodation with breakfast included in 2- to 6-bed rooms. Addional meals you can cook for yourselves in the self catering kitchen.
There are many things included in our prices: all you can eat breakfast, linen, use of public buses, entry to public swimming pools (in- and outdoor), WLAN, taxes etc.
I.E. There are NO additional costs for linen, electricity, local tourism tax, cleaning etc...
We have simple but pratically furnished rooms with 2 to 6 beds in three different categories available. Everybody has their own private locker.
There are wahings basins in all rooms. Comfort rooms have showers and toilets ensuite.
For those that don't have showers and toilets in the rooms, there are plenty of showers and toilets available in the hallway.

As a group you are not "exclusive" users of our hostel. There are always also single guests / travellers, families and sometimes a second group staying with us at the same time.
In our newly opened extension building we are able to offer you for free a separate kitchen and group room to use for your group only. Subject to availability. (1 separate room included in the group price). If you need more space we can try to arrange that at additional cost.
-> Perfect times for groups are autumn, winter and spring. During summer May to August we have a lot of international travellers (Backpackers) staying with us and the hostel is pretty full.

For groups of 12 people or more we offer group prices. All our prices are per person per night and are net prices. I.e. there are no commissions for travel agents etc.

From CHF 28.- (children) and CHF 31.- (adults) in Eco rooms with washing basin. Showers and toilets shared in the hallway.
From CHF 35.- (children) and CHF 38.-(adults) in comfort rooms with shower/toilet ensuite in our new extension building.

All our prices are per person and include:

*The indoor swimming pool will be closed for renovation as from 16 August till approx. 3 December 2010. During this period we offer you instead free internet at the hostel and as from 18 October, when the ice skating hall opens, you will have free entry at the ice skating rink.
Cancellation policy for groups:
up to 3 months before arrival at no cost,
up to 7 days before arrival: 20% of the agreed price,
6 - 0 days before arrival: 80% of the agreed price.
Up to 3 days before arrival single people (max 5) can be added or taken out free of charge.

We are happy to take your call every day from 7.30am to 11pm (07.30 - 23.00).
Where are we?
Backpackers Villa Sonnenhof lies in the heart of Interlaken, on the south end ot the famous „Hoehematte“, a large green field right in the centre of Interlaken.
You can reach both train stations Interlaken West und Interlaken Ost on foot within 10 - 15 minutes.
Furthermore, there is a bus stop of bus nr. 2 Interlaken West - Interlaken Ost - Ringgenberg right in front of our door (Stop "Interlaken, Sonnenhof"). You can use this bus for free with our guest card, that you receive upon check-in.
